Andrew I Schafer

Andrew I Schafer is Chairman of the Department of Medicine and the E Hugh Luckey Distinguished Professor of Medicine at the Weill Cornell Medical College, and also Physician in Chief of the New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. He is President Elect of the Association of Professors of Medicine and Past President of the American Society of Hematology. He has served on the Board of Extramural Advisors of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute and the Board of Directors of the Association of Professors of Medicine, and has been elected to membership of the Association of American Physicians and the American Society for Clinical Investigation. Professor Schafer has published over 200 articles and edited five textbooks.
