ECCO is a not-for-profit federation that exists to uphold the right of all European cancer patients to the best possible treatment and care, promoting interaction between all organisations involved in cancer at European level. It does this by creating awareness of patients’ needs and wishes, encouraging progressive thinking in cancer policy, training and education and promoting European cancer research, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care through the organisation of international multidisciplinary meetings.
Join ECCO2017, the European Cancer Congress, 27-30 January 2017 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The European Cancer Congress is the multidisciplinary evidence based meeting for all cancer types, addressing all oncology disciplines and related healthcare professions.
ECCO2017 will have a direct impact on daily clinical practice. Focusing on phase III data, this scientific meeting will put the new evidence into perspective for a multidisciplinary audience by critically reviewing it in expert panels. Leading oncologists will address the value of these potentially practice changing treatments by reviewing their clinical benefits and cost. Experts, patient advocates and the audience will determine whether the data really do support changes in clinical practice.
Recognising the discrepancies between what happens in real life and in a clinical trial setting, the ECCO2017 will give centre stage to real world data showing the impact on treatment and care.
